Two generations dominate the importable US sedan pool. The E170 (2014–2019) modernised the Corolla with a larger body and a more upmarket cabin, and included the fuel-focused LE Eco. The current E210 (from 2020) sits on Toyota's TNGA platform, with sharper handling, a stiffer structure, a much better interior and, importantly, a hybrid sedan option.
Powertrain and equipment
The E170 used the 1.8-litre 2ZR-FE four (about 132 hp), with the Eco version tuned to roughly 140 hp, driving through a CVT or, on some trims, a six-speed manual or older four-speed automatic.
