The Q6 e-tron is Audi's first SUV on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture the brand developed together with Porsche, and it sits between the smaller Q4 e-tron and the older Q8 e-tron.

The Q6 e-tron is a single, current generation launched in 2024 for Europe and rolled out to the US as an early-2025 model. It shares its PPE bones and 800-volt electrical system with the Porsche Macan Electric, which is why the two feel closely related to drive.

Pre-purchase review
The Q6 e-tron is too new for a long-term reliability picture, but the early PPE launch was software-led. Owners reported infotainment reboots, intermittent connectivity and charging-session hiccups on very early builds, most of which were addressed through updates. Confirm the car has received the latest E3 software and that no fault codes are stored.
Germany and Europe
US cars use a CCS1 charge port rather than the European CCS2, and some later American Q6 e-trons ship with a NACS-related setup, so charging adapters and any home-wallbox plan should be planned before import.
