Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray - Return of a legend

One of the highlights at this year's Detroit Motor Show is without question the new Corvette C7, which again bears the nickname, Stingray.

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingry FrontThe new 6.2 litre V8 engine (without turbo) is said to consume less than ten litres per 100 kilometres and would therefore be a real "fuel-saving miracle" compared to other German sports cars. With 450 hp and a maximum torque of 610 Newton meters, this bullet is said to break the 100 km/h mark in under four seconds and could thus become a serious competitor for the 911. Although this remains to be seen as there are no figures to support this yet. However, the Americans have proven to us time and time again - what is fast does not have to be expensive!

In addition to the new engine, the C7 gets a new six-speed automatic and a seven-speed manual gearbox, as well as speed control and lightweight technology to reduce weight. In addition, the GM subsidiary Chevrolet has probably learned from Chrysler, and the new edition of the Viper, which equips the new C7 with an elaborate chassis and various technical features such as a driving dynamics control system accompanied with a completely renovated interior made of carbon, aluminum and leather.

We are eagerly awaiting for the third quarter of 2013 when this gem will finally be launched and what kind of performance increase the ZR1 version will then receive.
