GMC Acadia

USCar Trader import service

Import this model from the USA or Canada

Select a specific vehicle. Its detail page shows the import-cost calculation where data is available. Check a potential duty benefit separately from the vehicle and origin documents.

Important: the USA and Canada use separate origin routes. A duty benefit requires the relevant origin and transport evidence; VIN or build location alone does not decide the outcome. Customs assesses the individual case. Import VAT and other costs may apply separately.

Model and generations

From large family SUV to modern all-rounder

The first generation (2007–2016) used GM's large Lambda platform. The second generation (2017–2023) became lighter and more compact and offered four-cylinder engines alongside the 3.6-litre V6.

For model year 2024, the Acadia grew again and moved to a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. Trims range from SLE and SLT to the luxurious Denali, while AT4 adds a more rugged look and all-wheel drive.

Used-vehicle check

What Acadia buyers should inspect

The 3.6-litre V6 is proven but needs a documented maintenance history. On earlier vehicles, the timing chain and water pump deserve attention. Automatic transmissions should shift cleanly both cold and warm.

  • Match VIN, title status and vehicle history
  • Check service evidence and oil-change intervals
  • Test transmission behaviour cold and warm
  • Inspect underbody and brake lines for corrosion
  • Check open recalls in the NHTSA database

Import to Germany

Duty, adaptation and registration

After selection and pre-purchase checks, the process covers purchase handling, inland transport, ocean freight, customs clearance, technical adaptation, individual approval and registration. USCar Trader coordinates these stages for the specific vehicle.

Depending on model year and configuration, lighting, rear fog lamp and speed display may need adaptation. The exact scope depends on the vehicle and available approval documents.
