Model profile
The Silverado EV launched for the 2024 model year, first as a loaded First Edition RST, then broadening to the fleet-focused Work Truck (WT) and wider RST availability. It is a single, current generation with no facelift yet, so the meaningful distinctions are trim, battery size and options rather than model year. GM assembles it at Factory ZERO in Detroit-Hamtramck, Michigan, alongside other Ultium trucks.
Powertrain and equipment
Every Silverado EV is electric, with a large Ultium pack — around 200 kWh in the big-battery trucks — feeding dual motors for standard all-wheel drive.
The body is a single crew-cab pickup. The two pillars of the range are the WT, a plainer, fleet-oriented truck that still offers strong range and payload, and the RST, a premium version with a large 17-inch display, adaptive air suspension, the fixed-glass roof and the full power figures.
